One abstract per presenter maximum. No submission by E-mail.
All abstracts must be submitted by June 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (CET). All submissions that are incomplete by the deadline will be rejected.

Abstract guidelines
- The presenting author must provide their name, degree, institutional affiliation, address, phone number, and e-mail address. If an abstract is accepted, all subsequent correspondence will be sent to the presenting author.
- The entire body of the abstract must not exceed 3,800 characters. Spaces are not included in this number. The title, authors’ names, and authors’ affiliations are not included in the character count.
- The abstract may be structured (i.e., abstracts divided into sections using terms such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, etc.) or unstructured.
- Do not use bold type or underline formatting. Italic type is acceptable.
- Text may be in multiple paragraphs.
- Use numerals to indicate numbers, except when beginning sentences.
- Any references should be noted as citations within the text and not as footnotes at the end of the abstract.
Abstract review and FOCIS junior award
- · After the June 1st submission deadline, all completed abstracts will be sent to reviewers of the scientific committee for anonymized review and scoring on the basis of their relevance to the wide field of immunology and scientific merits. Junior abstracts and cross-sectional approaches are welcome. Abstract acceptation will be notified by July 2025.
- · The five highest-scoring abstracts from trainees or post-docs will be selected for oral presentation. Presenters must be first/last author of their abstract. They will receive a personal €500 FOCIS junior award. The FOCIS award cannot be combined with the IUIS travel grant. Recipients will be notified by e-mail. The list of FOCIS junior award recipients will be posted on the course website.
IMPORTANT: awardees must register for and attend the meeting in-person, and present their abstract orally in order to receive their award.
- · All other selected abstracts will be presented as posters.
